This range of LiPo batteries is the latest addition to our electric flight catalogue. These LiPo packs have recently been introduced into the UK and we think offer a distinctive advantage of performance versus price. We now stock a comprehensive range of these excellent quality packs.

While the PolyPower brand is new to the UK, the cells are already well established. They are commonly used in many other packs available from the Far East and USA. They are marketed under a number of different brand names so unknowingly, you may already be using these cells.

Did you know that it is a common practice to hype up the C rating for discharge and charge rates? Some 20C cells are sold as 25C. Similarly, some 30C packs are sold as 35C. Even though it is very unlikely that the average user will be able to differentiate, we do not condone this practice. So, we have listed the guaranteed, safe discharge rate as stated by the manufacturer. Please bear this in mind when doing your price comparisons.

The same hype has been applied to charge rates. While our PolyPower packs are rated at 5C by the manufacturer, a 5C charge rate will inevitably take its toll on the the life cycle of the pack. We recommend balance charging using a LiPo compatible charger at no more than a 2C rate (pack capacity in mAh x 2) to prolong battery life.

Each pack features soft silicone power leads with a factory-fitted connector and a JST-XH balance plug - probably the most common in use today.
